Cape Fear Christian Academy will be holding their annual Christmas musical Tuesday, December 11 beginning at 7:00pm.  All participating students should be at the school by 6:15pm.

No worries as there are no speaking parts for any Grade K students-they will enter the nativity area as shown in the script below and in the attachment. The students will be rehearsing during Music Class.  Please work toward putting together a suitable costume for your student.

Mary(Ava), Angel (Aiko) enters

1) Mary was in her garden in Nazareth when an angel spoke to her. The Angel said that she was going to have a wonderful and special baby. This baby would become our salvation and the Prince of Peace.

Joseph(Caleb) enters

2) Mary and her husband Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem to be counted and to pay taxes. Roman law required this. Mary’s special baby was nearly ready at that same time.

3) Bethlehem was FULL of people. There was nowhere for Mary to have her baby. A kind innkeeper offered to let them stay in a stable behind his inn. Mary and Joseph prepared for the birth.

Angels enter

4) That night the baby was born. Mary and Joseph called the baby… Jesus. The watching angels rushed off to tell everybody the GOOD NEWS!

Shepherds enter

7) Three Wise Men from the East heard that a special Baby was being born. They set off across the desert to try to find him. They followed a very bright star.

8) King Herod was the ruling king of the land. He was visited by the Wise Men who were looking for the newborn King of the Jews. Herod did not like the idea of a new King.

9) Herod told the Wise Men to find Jesus. Herod told the Wise Men that he wanted to worship Jesus. This was not Herod’s intention. Herod actually wanted to hurt Jesus!

Song: We Three Kings

10) The Wise Men found the baby and gave him gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. They were warned in a dream that Herod secretly wanted to hurt the baby and not worship him. They decided not to tell Herod where the baby was.

11) Joseph was also warned in a dream that Herod was looking to harm the Baby Jesus. So in the night they went away quietly to hide in the far away land of Egypt .
